Tech tools shape everything you do with your website, print-on-demand projects, and client work. You don’t need a huge stack, but you do need the right mix. This page gives you a simple rundown of the tools I use and/or recommend, what they’re good at, and where they fit. I’ll keep it updated as I add more to my own toolbox.
AI + Research Tools
These tools help you write faster, make decisions quicker, and automate repetitive tasks.
- ChatGPT – My go-to for writing, planning, and creative work. Quick for brainstorming, generating content, and building workflows.
- Claude – A strong option for writing longer pieces and doing structured tasks. Great for documents and clean explanations.
- Perplexity – Solid for research. It pulls live information, cites sources, and cuts down research time.
- Gemini – Good for Google-integrated workflows. Handy if you keep a lot of your files and notes in Workspace.
- Grok – Useful when you want speed and a more casual output. I use it mainly for quick idea checks and summaries.
Business + Communication
Tools that help you run the business side without a headache.
- Dialpad – A reliable phone system with transcription, call routing, and AI features built in. Easy to manage from anywhere.
- GoHighLevel – An all-in-one CRM and automation hub used for landing pages, funnels, email, and automation. Strong choice if you want everything in one place.
- Jotform – Simple, flexible forms for orders, client intake, surveys, and file uploads. Good for automating workflows, creating intake forms, and quick, no-code apps.
Website + Hosting
I host my site with IONOS because it’s affordable, straightforward, and easy to manage on WordPress. It’s a solid option for small businesses and creators who want reliable hosting without the hassle.
Design + POD Tools
Tools that support my Bluegrass Design & Print products, templates, and custom items.
- Canva – My daily design tool. Templates, quick edits, social content, and mockups. If you’re simply needing a quick way to create and edit basic content, this is the one for the masses.
- Pexels – Free stock photos and videos with decent quality.
- Paint.NET – Lightweight, easy image editing without the bulk of Photoshop.
- CustomCat – Print-on-demand provider with solid quality and fast turnaround.
Tech + Systems Management
Tools I’ve evaluated, use and/or highly recommend for IT, security, and device management.
- NinjaOne – Strong for device monitoring, updates, and automation. Easy to manage remote systems.
- ManageEngine (Free Tools) – Their free utilities solve a lot of small IT tasks quickly—password tools, AD utilities, and network scanning.
